The NSW Central Coast is a great place for touring National Parks with boating, fishing and lazing away on white sandy beaches more great ways to while away some holiday time. While there, check out the historical museums, art and craft galleries, coffee shops and markets, offering all sorts of locally made goods.
The Hunter Valley is only a short drive away and holds delights for food and wine lovers, making the Central Coast an ideal spot to base yourself for your NSW holiday.
If your sports minded, there is water-skiing, horseriding, even hire a boat for your own exploration and fishing holidays for a day or week.
Avoca has a number of excellent well known surf beaches (Pines Charity Surf Classic is held here) as well as Avoca Lake. Great place to stay if you want to explore more of the Central Coast, but it has many of its own delights, with kayaking, scenic flights, good fishing and good restaurants, and entertainment at night.
On the coast of Warberal Lagoon Nature Reserve and the Wyrrabalong National Park is Forresters Beach. Forresters beach, about 1 km in length named after one of the original settlers, Robert Forrester. The main drive along the beach has a familiar name, Kalakau Avenue.
Nearby are Warberal Lagoon Nature Reserve and the Wyrrabalong National Park (Aboriginal for headland looking over the sea) with plenty of marine and bird life. Visit Crackneck Lookout for sweeping vistas. You can go paragliding there amongst other things.

Terrigal is located some 91 km north of Sydney and is cosmopolitan in nature. It is a pleasant place to visit - try not to miss a visit to The Skillion Aboriginal for “place of little birds”. You can also find relaxing fishing holidays, cruises and charter fishing cruises.
Other areas such as The Entrance is famous for its pelicans. But it also has deep blue waters, wide beaches, and great fishing.
